Meditation is a crucial part of psionics as it can make your journey more fruitful and make you feel and preform better than when not doing it. Through meditation you will learn how to control your psi internally and externally. The process of meditation is not a short one and it will take a while to learn and get used to. Don't give up in the first few tries if your mind wonders, for if you keep at it you will be able to concentrate throughout the meditation process. Breathing repetitions help a lot too, to get you in the mood of things and try to slow your heart rate down to a good pace. Take away all your worries and problems, and excommunicate the noises around you because it's only you and meditating.
Different types of Meditations:
Focal Meditation- Focal Meditation is done by concentrating on a certain object and trying to see it's characteristics, how it is acting or behaving. For example you can take the Dancing Flame . Just sit in front of a lit candle and concentrate on it's flame. Instead of moving it try to study it and see how it moves around, stare at it's colors. Never lose focus between you and the flame that is how the meditation will progress and you will get better at keeping your thoughts on one thing.
Void Meditation- Void Meditation is done by concentrating your mind on having a blank state and not letting outside stimuli in. Things like noises, people talking and your own thoughts should be kept out.
Other Meditation-
Apple Eating Meditation- Sit somewhere in a comfortable place where you can be relaxed and imagine an apple in your hands. As you're holding that apple look at how it looks and admire it's colors. Feel the apple around your fingers as you play with it and rub it with your palms. Smell the scents and aroma from the apple and as you do that bite into it. Keep on eating it until you're to it's core and then open your eyes.
Staircase Meditation- This one I learned at TK forums. Basically you have to imagine your going down a long staircase and slowly you have to make your way down step by step until you reach the bottom. Try to concentrate on reaching the bottom and on nothing else.
Dan Tien Meditation- This meditation requires you to concentrate on your Dan Tien which is the abdominal area. Get into an Indian style stance and concentrate on breathing through the nose and doing breathing repetitions as you do the meditation. While your breathing you have to focus on your abdominal area and imagine a ball of energy building there. Keep this process until you feel relaxed and rejuvenated with energy.
Center Forehead- Third eye chakra meditation - Whether the abdominal or third eye chakra, both have center points that can circulate a lot of psi. Focus on your third eye and visualize a hole forming there now suck in psi into the center via visual or tactile thinking. Even conceptual thinking works too. Feel your body filling up with psi, if you lose your focus the psi will cease so try to apply repetitive thinking to that area.
